harriWattsband started life as a duo 16 years ago at the turn of the century. Following several attempts at a band name fusion of names ensued and harriWattsband was born. Many open mic nights later in and around Hull and Yorkshire with favourable responses from the world of local music they survived playing original songs.
harriWattsband focus was towards a folky, bluesy, jazzy, poppy, rocky sound because of our original line-up of guitar, violin and vocal harmonies they pursued a variety of musical styles to keep audiences interested. Line-up progressed with the addition of bass guitar and third vocal harmonies to develop as a band. Drums and percussion are also utilised when the show allows with the addition of some great friends on full drum kit or cajon. They have continued with that philosophy to the present day as demonstrated with their latest album ‘Made In Hull’ recorded at Ulysses Records in Hull.
